Nainitalthe famous hill station from northern state of Uttarakhand attract huge number of tourists throughout the year . The scenic beauty ,calm and pleasant weather makes it favourite place for tourists. 

 

         Apart from it's natural beauty the city offers a lot to explore and 
      in a very affordable budget . It's easy to acces lake district India
      and varied travel options are also available. 


      Boat ride, shopping in mall road , exploring Bhutia market
      Naina Devi temple darshan, trying out street foods , exposure to
      flora  and fauna of Kumaun Himalaya, trekking and camping are
      some must do things.

             #   Distance between Delhi and Nainital is around 345 km 
          and plenty number of buses are available to Nainital from 
          Delhi. You can start your ride from Anand vihar /Kashmiree 
          Gate and an overnight journey will make you to reach Nainital
          Bus stand . 
          The bus fare could vary from INR 600-900, which is a good 
          deal.

            #  There is no railway station at Nainital and the nearest
           railway station is at  kathgodam ,which is 34 km away from
           Nainital. 
                One can reach kathgodam by boarding a train either from
           Delhi or any other location which connect Kathgodam
           through train.
                 It may cost from INR 200-1500 and the journey may take 
           5-7 hours .  There are many trains which runs on daily basis 
            such as ;
                  1. KATHGODAM SHATBDI EXPRESS 
                  2.RANIKHET EXPRESS
                  3.UTR SAMPARK KRANTI
                  4. RANIKHET SPECIAL

                   # It's always possible to travel through private vehicle , 
          which is a comfort in itself. 
                There are also Taxi and Cab available from Delhi to
          Nainital . Which may not be the best options for most of the 
         people.
             # Flight will take you to Panthnagar which is the nearest 
          airport around 70 km away from Nainital , this travel could
        cost around INR 5000-10000.


  WHERE TO STAY :-
         
           #  The best location to stay in Nainital in a good budget 
         friendly hotel could be near Bus stand and Tallital ,where a
         room could cost INR 1000-2000.
           #  Other options are Mall road, Mallital ,High court road and  
         even on can go for camping .
           # Even it's easy to get a room in Gurudwara Singh Sabha 
         which is absolutely free of cost and rooms are also available 
         as cheap as INR 100 at Dhramashala, Nainital . 

             Booking of rooms could be done online and in advance too
        which is more convenient.


    FOOD OPTIONS 

         The main expenditure is travelling and lodging and apart 
     from this on food the expenditure won't exceed INR 1000/day /
     person. It is always advisable to hop around the market and try
     out  some local dishes and street foods.
        Kmauni food may be a good try there apart from that  plenty of
    street foods like Momos ,Parnthas , Pahadon ki Maggie , Kababs
    and Corns are there. 
        Bal mithai ,famous sweet dish of Uttarakhand is must try.

 
      These are the few things to try out or take care of when
      travelling to Nainital . It is pretty in all seasons but March to      
       June is preferred. A visit to Nainital would never be a regret
